We simplify your manufacturing process to make the potential of any material shine.

Biesse at Holz-Handwerk 2020: with the same drive as always, and the technology of tomorrow.

Holz-Handwerk 2020 will be held from 18 to 21 March. The trade show, which brought in over 110,000 visitors from all over the world for the previous edition, will be an unmissable opportunity to discover Biesse technology and explore all the advantages offered by SmartAction.

SMARTACTION – COMPACT, CONNECTED, ACCESSIBLE

SmartAction is the new smart factory, designed for companies that want to make the most of the advantages offered by digitalisation. SmartAction allows for the creation of a carpentry workshop that is compact, connected and accessible, by adopting all the features offered by Industry 4.0. The machines are all connected in real time and guarantee rapid, optimised performance, making the whole company more competitive.

Visitors to Holz Handwerk will learn how a smart factory can be set up within a small manufacturing area, exploiting the power of highly integrated solutions to offer standardised processes without renouncing customisation.

The main focus of this new concept is the integrated management of production by means of software that allows the various machines to exchange data and process production reports, all within a small floor space, with limited investments and an easy learning curve. Through the complete digitalisation of processes, furnishings can be produced quickly, flexibly and with room for customisation.

AUTOMACTION – INTEGRATE, CONNECT, DIGITALISE

The SmartAction concept is an extension of AutomAction, the technological concept that introduced the digital factory in large industrial plants, and is the key to boosting and strengthening production performance in large industries. The concept coordinates people and robots and channels the infinite capacity offered by machines to make the connected, integrated and digitalised factory of tomorrow a reality today.

TECHNOLOGIES IN ACTION

The stand will feature the Rover K FT machining centre in action, equipped with the Winstore X3 automated magazine, a compact solution for artisans and small to medium-sized businesses that require flexibility and ease of use. Other machining centres in action include the Winline 16, a multi-centre for the production of windows and doors, and the Rover C and Rover A, which have always been the most reliable solutions on the market and are now even faster and more productive thanks to the new FPS work tables. Edgebanding technology will include the Akron 1100, Akron 1400 and Stream A automated single-sided edgebanding machines. Other machines on display will include the S1 and Opera 5 sanders, the new Brema Eko 2.2 compact vertical boring machine with ROS loading and unloading, and the SELCO WN panel saw.

The Digital Hub, the heart of the digital factory, will be located in Hall 11. This area was created to walk customers through the various stages in the creation of the Factory 4.0, simulating processes and machining operations and introducing visitors to the software that's used to design, optimise and programme the production plant.
