One2One UK: an intimate and informative experience
Big attention for the third and the most successful show of Biesse UK, branded One2One. Staged at Biesse UK's headquarters in Daventry, the event was so popular it was oversubscribed every day. More than 120 potential clients listened to informative seminars before they were treated to interactive workshops on specific aspects of the joinery and panel production trade. Three sub topics were covered each morning on panel production while the afternoons were dedicated to joinery, providing visitors with a highly sophisticated and informative day in a relaxed and friendly environment.
The One2One format has been embraced two years ago by Alberto Maestri and Steve Bulmer, respectively Managing Director and Commercial Director of Biesse UK and is much more than just a demonstration of machines in Biesse's portfolio. We have spoken whit Mick McBeth from Biesse UK who took care of the organisation - more than a general exhibition. We try to be as informative as we can. In past years we have normally gone down the route of just displaying our equipment at a standard machinery exhibition has continued Mick - Anyone can do an in-house exhibition. But to do a One2One you ve got to know the market, you ve got to know your customers, what they would like to see and how to get that information over to them in the best way.
Using this format the latest event has enabled Biesse UK to provide interested parties with an insight into nested based manufacturing for cabinet production; the options available for shaped edgebanding; flexible cells for furniture production; traditional mortice and tenon door production and flexible window production. Seminars informed visitors what a nesting process can achieve, for example, while subsequent workshops demonstrated the technique strengths. Each seminar covered concept, software, materials and machinery, production output and benefits a format which Mick intends to keep.
Biesse UK is unique in what it does and the way it does these particular types of event in the Area, in fact over the three days period Biesse has been fully booked and it has been oversubscribed. Food and relaxation were also a key part to the big success of the event own Italian chef, Fabrizio Olmeda, flown over to provide traditional culinary delights such as pasta and meats.
Representatives from tooling and timber firms, like Leuco, Cruing and Timbmet, were also invited to the event giving clients the niche knowledge that Biesse, as a machine manufacturer, is unable to provide, enabling visitors to enjoy a fully rounded experience. The future of Biesse UK event will be hold technology days focusing on particular types of equipment, like edgebanders, while the machine titans next One2One will be staged in 2009. Congratulations to all our colleagues from Biesse UK!! |
