October 2008 BIESSE AMERICA AND BIESSE CANADA: THE STAR OF IWF 2008
The International Woodworking Machinery and Furniture Supply Fair held August 20th-23rd at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta welcomed over 18,992 visitors, a decline from IWF 2006, which welcomed 24,886 participants.

Biesse America and Canada took this occasion to launch new programs and product lines to the North American market, including BiesseArtech, the new advertising campaign, and “Vision for the Future” building plans for Charlotte and Montreal headquarters.

The most popular feature in the Biesse booths was the One2One Seminar Area, where well-attended presentations were given: “Lean Manufacturing at Biesse,” with Riccardo Quattrini; “Lean Meets Green,” with Don Shultz; Biesse case study, “Good to Great,” with Federico Broccoli.

Furthermore during the initiative, Biesse and Intermac donated $6000 to Make-A-Wish organization to realize a child’s final wish.

The investment made at IWF 2008, and resulting success, reflects a great deal of confidence in Biesse’s ability to not only maintain a leadership position in the North American market, but to build on it.
