Subsidiaries meets Manufacturing: India & China focus

With a view to increasing the competitiveness of small companies, working alongside commercial efforts to ensure widespread distribution through a growing number of distributors and sales forces with a direct presence, a workshop for all of our branches was organised at our Indian factory in Bangalore and our Chinese factory in Dongguan.

The meeting was attended by all of the biggest commercial and product branches from America, Canada, Britain, France, Spain, China and India, with representatives from Australia and Asia, along with the respective Brand Managers from the leading Indian, Chinese and Italian branches.
The aims of these days of targeted workshops were various: Sergio Mina delivered a presentation to all branches working with the Bangalore and Dongguan factories, and participants also attended a presentation introducing them to the current product range, which also identified the most appealing solutions for new markets across Europe. In addition, the workshops addressed EC commissioning timings and product portfolio definition, as well as providing a series of technical tips to increase competitiveness across our entry level ranges, defining pricing and checkpoint distribution, as well as suggesting next steps to increase the reach of the sales network, and finally, establishing initial purchase commitments.
The event, reiterates Federico Broccoli, Biesse Group's Branches Division Director, "will be the first in a long series; we needed to accelerate the process of knowledge acquisition, as well as the integration of our manufacturing sites in India and China with branch offices, who increasingly need to have access to top-of-the-range products, which are ever-more competitive, in order to deal more effectively with Chinese and Asian manufacturers creating business relationships with our distributors, establishing themselves within markets which have historically always preferred European machinery".
The unstoppable process of globalization, continues Broccoli, "means that is imperative for Biesse to make greater use of manufacturing in India and China, which offers increasingly fast, integrated service to the West as well as the East, via centrally-driven trade and manufacturing".
